Evelyn O'Kane

Evelyn O'Kane is safeguarding lead at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.

She qualified at Walsall Hospital in 1988 as a registered general nurse. She gained her specialist Orthopaedic training at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in 1991 following secondment to the hospital, and began working at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust in late autumn 1994.

Evelyn specialises in Safeguarding and manages the Safeguarding team at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital which consists of: Named Nurse for Children and Adults, Safeguarding Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist for Transition to Adult Services. 

As the Safeguarding Lead Nurse, Evelyn works with the Named Doctor of Children's Safeguarding and the Executive Lead for Safeguarding, the Chief Nurse.
