Flo is the Learning Disability and Autism Clinical Nurse Specialist at the ROH. Leading the service for patients with a learning disability or autism diagnosis and support staff to ensure reasonable adjustments are made to ensure patients with a learning disability or autistic patients have equal access to healthcare and receive positive health outcomes.
Qualifying as a learning disability nurse (RNLD) in 2017 she spent 3 years at a respite service for adults with learning disabilities and complex health and behavioural needs before joining the ROH in 2020.
Since joining the ROH Flo has been successful in achieving the Florence Nightingale Foundation Leadership Award in learning disabilities and a PgCert in Inclusion (Autism Adults). She also received the Blue Heart Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Patient Experience’.
She is passionate in reducing health inequalities for people with a learning disability and autistic people and ensuring that at the ROH we provide a high quality service.
