Mr Rajive Jose is a Consultant in Hand Surgery at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, NHS Trust.
He qualified at Pondicherry University, India in 1994. He gained his specialist training in Plastic Surgery through the West Midlands rotation. He completed the Advanced Training Post in Hand Surgery in Birmingham and also completed the Pulvertaft Hand Fellowship at Derby. He has also completed the British Hand Diploma organised by BSSH and Manchester University. He began working at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in 2014.
He is a member of the BSSH Hand Diploma committee and also is tutor for the hand Diploma program. He is also involved in research at University Hospital Birmingham and is a principal investigatory for a Randomised Controlled Trial. He has authored several scientific papers and book chapters. He has also authored an exam revision book in Plastic Surgery.
His other interests include painting and writing. He was the runner up of the BMA News writing competition for doctors in 2012.
