Callum Hewitt

Advanced Practice Physiotherapist

Callum graduated from the University of Bradford in 2018 with First Class Honours in Physiotherapy. He completed his junior rotations at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust before specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Alongside this, he worked as Lead Physiotherapist for Yorkshire Amateur A.F.C..

In early 2022, Callum joined the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, where he progressed into the MSK Advanced Practice team. He currently works across physiotherapy, knee, shoulder, and hip MSK-led triage clinics, as well as consultant-led surgical clinics alongside Mr Peter Wall, Mr Callum McBryde, and Professor Ed Davis.

Callum has developed a specialist interest in Young Adult Hip conditions as part of the nationally recognised Young Adult Hip team at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. He has attended British Hip Society conferences and recently presented at the ROH Young Adult Hip Study Day. He also contributes to the management of complex cases within the Young Adult Hip multidisciplinary team and regularly treats these patients within his physiotherapy practice.

In addition to his clinical work, Callum is qualified in acupuncture and peripheral injection therapy, including fluoroscopy-guided hip joint injections. He has also completed a Master’s-level module at the University of Birmingham.

Outside of work, Callum enjoys running, golf, and long-distance walking.
