He has as a first-class honours degree in physiotherapy graduating from Coventry University in 2011. Paul has worked in the NHS for over 13 years and has worked in semi-professional rugby at a national level for over 8 years. He was previously Head of Medical for Bishops Stortford RFC.
Paul did his Advanced Practice training in Cambridge where he completed his trainee programme in 2021. He began working at the ROH in 2024 to further specialise in spines as part of the Back Pain Clinic. He specialises in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal spinal pain. As part of this role he will request diagnostic imaging/testing, can list for certain procedures, is trained in joint and soft tissue injection and works closely with the orthopaedic team. Paul is trained in spinal manipulative therapy and manual therapy and is trained in the use of acupuncture for the treatment of Musculoskeletal conditions. He will also see physiotherapy patients at the ROH physiotherapy department at College Green.
He is a Charted Physiotherapist with CSP membership, registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and is currently working towards an MSc that will grant membership to the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP).
Paul is passionate about integrating the most current research and best practices into treatment, particularly in combining manual therapy and exercise therapy to meet the individual needs of his patients.
In his spare time Paul enjoys motorcycle riding and clay pigeon shooting.
