Susan Cox has been a qualified nurse for 17 years. She worked within Orthopaedics undertaking a range of roles over the years as a Registered Adult Nurse. Her current role is Matron with Division two here at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. Susan has been working as a Matron for nearly 5 years and it is a role she loves. She covers the Admission and Day Case Unit (ADCU), Pre Operative Assessment Unit (POAC), the Rapid Response Team (RRT) and the High Dependency unit (HDU). The role is challenging and no two days are ever the same. She works closely with her team to ensure they deliver the best possible patient care they can. This is achieved through teamwork, inclusive leadership, embedding governance processes and making improvements to service to address the needs of the diverse patients and staff.
