Mr. Bhim Shreemal is an experienced orthopaedic oncologist specialising in the management of benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumours (sarcoma), metastatic bone disease, and complex lower limb arthroplasty reconstruction.

He completed both his undergraduate medical education and postgraduate orthopaedic training at Christian Medical College Vellore, one of India’s most prestigious medical institutions, graduating as an orthopaedic surgeon in 2013. Following his training, he worked across multiple orthopaedic subspecialties in Nepal before undertaking further experience in lower limb arthroplasty at Oulu University Hospital, Finland. He subsequently returned to his alma mater to focus predominantly on orthopaedic oncology.

Mr. Shreemal was awarded prestigious fellowships by the Indian Orthopaedic Association(IOA) and the Indian Musculoskeletal Oncology Society(IMSOS), enabling exposure to advanced specialist work at internationally renowned centres including Tata Memorial Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. He later completed further specialist orthopaedic oncology fellowship training at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and approved by the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society, before accepting his current role.

He brings extensive surgical experience gained from working in both resource-constrained healthcare environments and internationally recognised centres of excellence across the Indian subcontinent, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

Mr. Shreemal has authored multiple peer-reviewed journal publications and book chapters in the field of sarcoma and musculoskeletal oncology. He continues to pursue active research interests in orthopaedic oncology, regularly presenting his work at national and international conferences. He is passionate about surgical education, mentorship, and lifelong learning. In addition, he collaborates with a non-profit healthcare organisation dedicated to providing affordable care to underserved rural communities in wester Nepal.
