Location: Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre, Alcester Road South, Kings Heath, Birmingham B14 6ER

Date: Tuesday 22 October 2024

Time: Appointments are fully booked.

What is a Community Appointment Day?

You’ve been invited to the Community Appointment Day as you are on the waiting list for physiotherapy treatment at either the ROH or QE.

The Community Appointment Day is an opportunity for you to receive support while you wait for Physiotherapy.

On the day you will meet Physiotherapists from ROH and QE, as well as representatives from a range of community and voluntary organisations.

The day will be an opportunity for you to discuss “what matters to you”, so you are set up to receive the most appropriate treatment for you. You’ll be able to speak with clinicians, get advice, get help with rehabilitation treatment, get access to health and wellbeing services and access one-to-one assessments or support groups if needed.

What you can expect from your appointment

You will be given an appointment time for the day, however there is no time limit on how long you spend with us.

During the day you will speak with members of the team and be able to talk about your problem as well as what matters for you and your recovery.

You will visit various stations around the room and speak to staff with different specialisms.

There will be people to chat to from Age UK, Versus Arthritis, Nuffield Health, Citizens Advice Bureau, The Active Wellbeing Society, Get U Better, Weight Management Services, Neighbourhood Network Team, Birmingham Council for Voluntary Services, ROH Pain Management, Birmingham Community Leisure Trust, and Birmingham MIND.

During the day there will also be opportunities to attend sessions held by the ROH pain management team, and Versus Arthritis.
