Birmingham Sarcoma Service website launched in time for Sarcoma Awareness Month

In celebration of Sarcoma Awareness Month, the Birmingham Sarcoma Service proudly unveils a new website, dedicated to enhancing sarcoma care across Birmingham and Solihull.

The site, developed collaboratively by The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (ROH), University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB), and Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital (BWC) was funded by the West Midlands Cancer Alliance. It is designed to streamline the sarcoma referral process and provide comprehensive resources for patients and healthcare professionals.

The new website offers a centralised hub for sarcoma-related information across Birmingham and Solihull, simplifying the journey for patients and their families. Key features include:

  • A streamlined referral system for healthcare professionals.
  • Information on sarcoma types, treatments, and support services.
  • The latest news and updates on sarcoma-related activities across ROH, UHB and BWC

“Our aim with this new website is to make navigating a sarcoma diagnosis and referral process as simple as possible,” said Guy Morris, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at ROH “by centralising all the essential information and resources, we want to empower patients and healthcare professionals with the knowledge and support they need.”
