Dedication to patient care reflected in inpatient survey results at ROH

The CQC have released their Adult inpatient survey 2024 results with the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital ranked as ‘much better than expected’, a remarkable achievement.

This demonstrates that patient expectations were exceeded in several key areas of care.

Matthew Hartland, CEO, said: “Achieving ‘much better than expected’ is a fantastic accomplishment. It reflects the collective efforts of everyone at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, whether providing direct patient care or working behind the scenes to support our services. We strive to create an environment where patients feel safe, supported and respected and these results highlight the compassion, professionalism, and dedication shown by our staff in their commitment to those aims.

Thank you to each and every one of our amazing colleagues for every patient interaction, every procedure and every act of care. These results are a powerful reminder of the positive impact you continue to make on patients and their families every day.”

This report summarises the experiences of over 62,400 patients who used NHS adult inpatient services during November 2024. The survey asked patients for their views on aspects of their care, such as: the hospital environment, communication with staff, involvement in decisions and being treated with respect and dignity.
