Armed Forces Week is 22-28 June

Armed Forces Week is a chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets. This Armed Forces Week, we #SaluteOurForces and stand with those who serve and have served and their families.

Reserves Day is being celebrated on Wednesday 24 June.

Armed Forces Day takes place on Saturday 27 June.

 

Did you know the ROH is a Veteran Aware organisation? 

The aim of Veteran Aware accreditation is to ensure that patients from the Armed Forces Community, including families, are not disadvantaged as a result when accessing healthcare. It does this by developing, sharing and driving the implementation of best practice, at the same time raising standards for everyone accessing NHS trusts in England.

Support for patients 

Medical notes and care plans - Any patients identified as veterans should have their status recorded in their medical notes and care plans

 

STEPWAY: STEPWAY is a charity dedicated to supporting veterans and their families in civilian life, regardless of background or circumstance. They offer support services focusing on improving mental wellbeing, leading to employment and/or education.

SSAFA – Birmingham: SSAFA is a tri-service military charity committed to providing lifelong support to serving men and women, veterans, and their families. They offer a range of services, including welfare support, mental health services, and assistance with housing and homelessness.
