Physiotherapy self-referral

Physiotherapy self-referral

We’ve moved from paper-based to digital referral through the getUBetter app for patients in the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Physiotherapy service catchment area.

The getUBetter app offers local tips, advice, and exercises tailored to you and your stage of recovery.

Most musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries and conditions can be treated at home and get better without the need for a specialist appointment. getUBetter gives you the knowledge, skills, and confidence you need to improve your MSK health and lifestyle.

We encourage you to download the free getUBetter app to manage your symptoms at home before seeking physiotherapy.

If your symptoms do not improve, you have the option to self-refer for physiotherapy within the getUBetter app. Once the in-app referral form has been completed, it will be reviewed by a member of the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Physiotherapy team.

Who should use getUBetter?

Anyone 18 or over who needs help with a joint or muscle problem with a BSol postcode.
