The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital wishes to reassure patients
that no operations have been cancelled at our hospital due to the industrial action by Junior Doctors in the UK taking place 12 -13 January 2016.
As a specialist hospital, the majority of the operations we perform are consultant-led which means that this industrial action does not affect us in the same way as a normal tertiary hospital.
If you are scheduled for surgery at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, your operation will continue as planned unless we contact you directly.
Outpatient appointments
Unfortunately, due to this planned industrial action, a small number of Outpatient clinic appointments have had to be cancelled on 12 – 13 January 2016.
The Trust has contacted all affected patients. If you have not been contacted, please arrive at your appointment as planned.
We apologise for the disruption to Outpatient clinics caused by this national dispute.
If your Outpatient appointment has been cancelled, you will be sent a revised appointment invitation.
