A huge happy Nurses' Day 2016!
Nurses’ Day takes place on 12 May each year, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. It’s a chance to celebrate the remarkable difference nursing staff around the world make every day. It’s also a time for patients to thank nursing staff for their dedication and care.
We're incredibly proud of our ROH nursing staff. It’s easy to forget what an amazing job they do every day. The work isn’t always glamorous, it’s challenging and at times, emotionally draining. But despite that, our nurses at ROH are always caring, always compassionate and always put the needs of others before themselves. You are inspiring and you deserve a huge thank you!
To recognise their fantastic work and dedication, we're running a stall in the main entrance of our Outpatients Department to tell our nurses and our patients just how much we value them. There will be lots of cake, a poster display created by our nursing teams, wards and departments and an opportunity to write a personal thank you to a nurse. We’re also unveiling a special photography portrait exhibition featuring some of our own fabulous ROH nurses.
