The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital has completed 100 knee replacement surgeries thanks to a robotic system named ‘ROSA’.

The specialist hospital reached the milestone this month, completing one hundred knee replacement procedures using the innovative robotic technology.  

Consultant Surgeon, Akash Sharma, who completed the majority of the operations, has praised the technology.

The system named ‘ROSA’ is an advanced robotic platform which assists surgeons. Created by leading technology company Zimmer Biomet. The ROSA ® System is used during partial or full knee replacement surgery and supports the surgeon to personalise the knee replacement to each individual case.
